Explanation:

Many undesirable plants called weeds grow with the crop plants. They share water, sunlight and nutrients with the crop plants. Thus they reduce the crop yield. These weeds have to be removed. The process of removing them is called weeding.

E.g :

Weeds of kharif season as follows :

1.Nutgrass or 'Motha’ (Cyperus rotundus).

2. Wild sorghum or ‘jangli jowar’.

3. Chaulai (Amaranthus virdis)

4. Saathi (Trianthema)

Weeds of Rabi season as follows :

1.'Mandoosi’ (Phalaris)

2. ‘Jangli jaii’. (Wild oat)

3. ‘Bathua’ (Chenopodium album)

4. 'Hirankhuri’ (Convolvulus pluricaulis)
