Answer:

The unwanted plants that grow by their own in the cultivating fields and compete with required crops for food, light, space and essential nutrients present in the soil are called weeds.

Farmers remove it by using pesticides which includes insecticides and fungicides.

Explanation:

What are weeds?

A weed is a plant considered undesirable in a particular situation, "a plant in the wrong place". Examples commonly are plants unwanted in human-controlled settings, such as farm fields, gardens, lawns, and parks. In the same way, volunteer crops (plants) are regarded as weeds in a subsequent crop.

How are they removed by the farmers?

1) By hand:- Walking the field and pulling out the weeds.

2) By mechanical:- Pulling iron through the field that will till up the space between the crop rows and cut/kill the weeds.

3) By chemicals:- Using a herbicide to kill the weeds.
