They pose a threat for other crops in following ways:-
1. They use up sunlight and essential nutrients from the soil making difficult for useful crops to absorb those nutrients.
2. They use up high water due to which useful crops usually die.
3. Due to unwanted growth of weeds there isn’t adequate amount of space between two crops due to which crops don’t grow properly.
