WESTERN DISTURBANCE are weather phenomena brought in by westerly flow from the Mediterranean region.They occur in the month of winter and cause rainfall in North anf North western part of india.
The area receiving rainfall are PUNJAB and JAMMU&KASHMIR.
The main benefit of western cyclonic disturbance that it is helpful for rabi crop especially bajra crop to grow at that particular time in north and northwestern part of india.
