His term lasted from 25 July 2002 to 25 July 2007.He is known as people's President and 'Missile Man of India'. He was born on 15 October 1931 on Pamban Island, Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. In 2015, the UN declared his birthday as World Student's Day. He was elected as the 11th President of India in the year 2002 and was referred to as the “People's President”.
