Area of the square field left in hectares = 1.8836 ha

Area of the sqaure field left in acres = 4.6543 acres

• Given,

Length of the rectangular football ground = 100 m

Breadth of the rectangular football ground = 55 m

∴  Area of the football ground = length × breadth

= 100 m × 55 m

= 5500 m²

• Also given,

Side of the square field = 156 m

∴  Area of the square field = side × side

= 156 m × 156 m

= 24,336 m²

• Area of the square field left after making an allowance for a rectangular football ground = Area of the square field - Area of the football ground

=> Area of the square field left = 24,336 m² - 5500 m²

= 18,836 m²

• ∴  Area of the square field left = 18,836 m²

Now, 1 hectare (ha) = 10,000 m²

=> 1 m² = 1 / 10,000 ha

=> 18,836 m² = 18,836 / 10,000 ha

Or, 18,836 m²  = 1.8836 ha

• Now, 1 hectare (ha) = 2.471 acres

=> 1.8836 ha = 1.8836 × 2.471 acres

= 4.6543 acres

• Therefore, the area of the field left in hectares = 1.8836 ha

Area of the field in acres = 4.6543 acres
