What argument did brutus put forward in defence of caesar's murder??

Brutus told the citizens of Rome that he and the other conspirators had killed Ceaser because he was becoming ambitious and becoming dangerous for Rome and for saving Rome, he killed his friend. Also he told that, he was crowned three times but he refused to gain people's sympathy.
