1) A democracy is a more accountable form of Govt. People can raise voice against the Govt. The media is Independent and can telecast news against the Govt. It forces the Government to serve the nation.
2) As the rulers in democracy are choosen by the people they have to work for the welfare of the citizens and make decisions which are in the favour of the nation. Thus, democracy improves the quality of decision making.
3) In any society there are differences between people. The society is divided into different Caste and religions and India being a diverse country these differences are much greater. Thus democracy provides a method to deal with differences and conflicts.
4) In a democracy in spite of bring rich or poor, educated or uneducated etc. All the people have equal status. Thus, democracy enhances the dignity of the citizens.
5) Democracy is better than all other form of Governments as it allows leaders to correct their own mistake. It isn't possible that mistakes can't be made in a democracy the only difference is that Democracy gives a chance to change the decision or else the ruler is changed I. E the final powers rests in the hands of the people.
