My initial instincts. I fail to listen at times to my first impressions of people or places. There may be very good, or seem to be good, reasons why I go against my feelings, but in the end it's apparent. No real harm done, just stress and aggravation I could have done without. At my age all I really want is peace and quiet and let others handle their own issues. Just because I'm capable and caring and I do enjoy helping others, it doesn't have to do so. Especially when there are people around who can do it much better than I.
