The aspects of the Nizam rule that I would consider to be ‘undemocratic’ was the fact that the Nizam rule was an absolute monarchy, with just one unelected ruling family that took on ruling the state perpetually through generations.

A monarchy is itself not a Democracy. A democracy is a government that if chosen by the people, to rule over the people.
