Gratiano assures Bassanio that he'll be on his best manners if he takes him to Belmont. He asks Bassanio to not trust him again if he puts on a bad behaviour. Bassanio exempts Gratiano from being in a rough behaviour that night,as it was the night of the masquerade for Bassanio's leaving-party
