for example carbon 12and carbon 14 are there isotopes of the elements carbon where mass 12,13 and14 repectivy

ISOTONES ARE THE ATOMS OF DIFFERENT ELEMENTS HAVING SAME NUMBER OF NEUTRON
(N) BUT DIFFERENT PROTON (Z) NUMBER.

FOR EXAMPLE- 36S , 37Cl , 38Ar , 39K , AND 40Ca
nuclei of all ISOTONES are 20 because they all contain 20 neutrons..
