What attracted European traders to India?​

The East India Company and other European traders were looking in for new lands from which they could buy goods at cheap price at take them to European markets and sell them at higher price. The fine qualities of silk and cotton produced in India had big markets at Europe. Pepper, clove, cardamom and cinnamon were told in great demand. These things attracted the traders to India.
