Following things attracted the European Companies to India :-

  1. The fine quality of silk, cotton and other textiles attracted the European Companies.
  2. The cheap rates of textiles and lands.
  3. All these things will help the company to get more profit.

The competition between European Companies were very high but after some time the Queen Victoria allowed only East India Company to trade with India and other companies were not allowedto trade with India.

As a result, the competition becomes zero for East India Company and they earn higher profits.
