Given:-

  • Mass of bus , m = 22000kg

  • Initial velocity,u = 0m/s

  • Final velocity ,v = 10m/s

  • Time taken ,t = 5

To Find:-

  • Av.Force ,F

Solution:-

Firstly we need to find the acceleration of the bus . As we know that acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity at per unit time.

a = v-u/t

Substitute the value we get

→ a = 10-0/5

→ a = 10/5

→ a = 2m/s²

∴ The acceleration of the bus is 2m/s².

Now Calculating the force ,

F = a

Substitute the value we get

→ F = 22000×2

→ F = 44000N

1000N = 1KN

∴ 44000N = 44000/1000 = 44KN.

The Average Force required to change the velocity is 44 KiloNewton.

Question

what Ave. force is needed to change the velocity of 22000 KG bus from waist to 10 metre per second in 5 ?

Answer

Given,

  • the mass of the bus is 22000 kg
  • the initial velocity is zero metre per second
  • the final velocity is 10 metre per second
  • the time taken is 5

To find ;

  • we have to find your the average force

how to find it ?

  • we can find it by first finding its acceleration and then using the formula of force to find the average force

Solution

To Find acceleration ;

=> A = v - u / t

=> A = 10-0/5

=> A = 10/5

=>A =2m/s^2

hence the acceleration is 2 metre per second square .

now we have to find the force

To find force ;

=> F = Ma

=> F = 22000×2

=> F =44000 N

The force used is 44000 Newton .

converting into kilonewton

=> 44000N = 44000/1000=44kn

Hence, the average force is 44kn
