The British scientist JBS Haldane Suggested in 1929 life originated from inanimate mater like ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, etc. which was present on earth soon after it existed.
an experiment conducted by Stanley L Muler and Harold C Urey (1953) was as follow
* they assembled an apparatus which had early earth like atmosphere which was supposed to consist gases like methane, ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, etc
*the temperature was maintained at100 c and electric spark were passed through mixture of gases.
*at end of one week, it was found that 15% of carbon from methane converted simple carbon compound of amino acids which make proteins found in living organisms
thus we came to know that life came from inanimate matter

heyy here is your answer

An experiment conducted by Stanley L. Miller and Harold C. Urey in 1953 proved that origin of life takes place from inanimate matter . they assembled the atmosphere containing NH3,CH4 and H2S but no O2 over water . this was mixture of gases. at the end of the week , 15 percent carbon from methane had been converted to simple compounds of carbon like amino acids , which make up protein molecule . so, life arose afresh on earth

hope it helps
