By studying art, we can learn about science and beauty of art. We can learn about many famous artists.

Art and artists reflect the social lives, oppression of people, treatment of women in house and society etc. We can learn history. 

If we study painting, then we can learn about great painters of fame. We can learn about the paints used, canvasses, colors and tools used to paint. We can learn about the way people lived, behaved and how kings ruled. We can deduce the development in that society at that time.

Also we can know about the technological progress at the time of painting. We can learn how to paint, what makes a painting beautiful and valuable.

We can become artists, professionals, pandits and professors by doing research on arts in various cultures and countries.  One becomes more creative and can entertain others as well as one can amuse oneself. One can earn capability to earn through art. Artists become public figures when they are famous.  Arts give a lot of (self) satisfaction to artists.
