Blood transfusion should be done under strict surveillance. It may transfer infections or viruses to a healthy person. There may be very small affect of these viruses but very rarely there are dangerous and life threatening viruses like the HIV(Human immuno deficiency virus) or the virus causing Graft's disease. Both the cases are extremely rare across the world but comparatively AIDS is more frequent in India which is caused by blood transfusion. So this are the disease that can be prevented by not tranfering blood from a infected person.
