What can one pursue along with English literature to have a successful career?

English literature is a degree which gives you all around skills which trains a person to for different careers rather than one specific job. A person who has a literature degree can opt for that following jobs: 


- Media and Journalism: Journalists have literature degree because writing clearly and researching are the main duties of the journalist. And in order to take interviews and become an editor one should have a good grasp of English. 
- Publishing: 
English graduates are in high demand in publishing sector because they understand books like no other, correcting and proofreading are two tasks which are in demand. 
- Advertising and PR: Storytelling in advertising and meeting with the publicists is a crucial part of the job so people with English Literature degree can put their skills to use in this job. 
- Teaching: 
Great communication skills will inspire the students and will give them the good understanding of what they are studying.  
- Arts: Career in arts and humanities can also be pursued and articles could be written about the museum and the art galleries.
