Nobody wants that mosquitoes will breed in their surrounding but still according to your question Mosquitoes prefer stagnant/old water where they will lay their eggs. They most common places where they are found are ponds, marshes, swamps and other wetland habitats. However, they are capable of breeding in a variety of locations and can successfully grow in numbers even when not in their natural habitat. Many species of mosquitoes use containers of water as egg-deposit sites to breed and lay eggs.
So jusk keep water in any place where you want that mosquitoes should breed for at least 1 week and your work is done.
REMEMBER their breeding season is rainy season.
