Women can help themselves by acquiring education, getting jobs and becoming economically independent. They can also help themselves by treating other women with respect and standing up for them in the face of adversity. Adult and married women should raise their voices in the event of marital discord and ill treatment in the home and outside. Mothers should instil into their families the necessity of bringing up boys and girls in the same manner and without any preferential treatment for either.
