What can you feed your tadpole besides tadpole food from the store?
Answers
After about 9 weeks, the tadpole looks more like a teeny frog with a really long tail. It is now well on it's way to being almost fullgrown! By 12 weeks, the tadpole has only a teeny tail stub and looks like a miniature version of the adult frog.
Answer:-
• Your tadpoles will need to be fed regularly.
• Since they're growing they'll always be searching for food, one feed session every day will keep them healthy.
• Some people suggest that you should feed them every other day, but in larger amounts.
• To raise tadpoles, feed them a pinch of boiled romaine lettuce every day.
• Make sure the lettuce is soft and cut up into tiny pieces so the tadpoles can eat it.
• You can also give your tadpoles a couple pinches of fish flakes per week, but don't feed them too much or they could get sick.
• When tadpoles become froglets they turn into carnivores, so they begin to rely on insects as their main source of food.
• Once our babies started looking more like frogs and less like tadpoles I began to add a scoop of living mosquito larvae from the surface of our pond into their tank as well as the baby spinach leaves
