The data provided for employment, underemployment, and unemployment are able to give us a clear look into the status of a given country and the world.

• Right now, approximately 3.32 billion people are employed worldwide. This number is a massive improvement from the 2.28 billion employed people in 1991. In India, we have seen an increase in employment in the second hand of 2022 with 43.90 percent.  Out of which 10.4 percent of employment is taken up by Indian youth.
• The underemployment rate tells us that people are employed part-time rather than full-time. This could be for a wealth of reasons including financial status, the competitive employment world, and more. It is hard to account for the underemployment of the given country as it would require looking at each individual rather than a standardized view. Counties like Australia have recorded their underemployment as 5.833 percent in November 2022.
• While the numbers in underemployment look small they still contribute to a large number of people being unable to get jobs. In 2022, an average of 100 countries found that there was a 7.11 percent unemployment rate. In India, the data in 2021 shows that the unemployment rate was 5.98 percent which was a drop from 2020 which was 8 percent.
