The main causes of the 3 Carnatic wars were the British French rivalry. Both the nations desperately wanted India as their colony and influenced the regional kings into helping them. The Indian kingdoms were numerous and above all there was no unity. So the kings fought with each other often. The French and the British used them as pawns.
