Answer:

The primary organs of the respiratory system are the lungs, which function to take in oxygen and expel carbon dioxide as we breathe.

The gas exchange process is performed by the lungs and respiratory system. Air, a mix of oxygen and other gases, is inhaled.

In the throat, the trachea, or windpipe, filters the air. The trachea branches into two bronchi, tubes that lead to the lungs.

                             Breathing

  • The breathing is the process of inhalation and exhalation. The "Inhalation" is the process of oxygen taking and other gases and exhaling the non needed gases.
  • The not needed gases are like carbon dioxide and other pollutant are exhaled out.
  • The inhalation leads to expansion of the lung and also diaphragm. The  exhalation includes the contract the lungs and diaphragm.
  • The oxygen is carried by the blood to various parts of body and the carbon dioxide is moved to blood and then to lungs for purification.
