The uneven heating of air by the sun causes the movement of air. Movement of air is called winds. Winds are created due to pressure variations in air. Pressure variations are caused due to the uneven heating of air by the sun. The place where the air is more heated develops a low-pressure area because lighter air moves. Whereas, the cool places have cool air which doesn't move up. These places develop a high pressure area. Air moves from a high-pressure area to a low-pressure area, thus, causing winds.
