what causes of acid rain

The mainly causes acid rain is SO2.

Heya...

The excess of carbon monoxide,sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide..that are often released during combustion...when mix with the rain water cause acid rain by forming carbonic acid,sulphuric acid or nitric acid....that can corrode the buildings,monuments etc..
