Tendril is a thread like structure arises from plant, grows in a coiled form and climbs along the walls and circles around supports.
Tendril has a capability to give a mechanosensory response to stimulus. This property is called Thigmotropism. It is most commonly found in twining plants and tendrils.
This is a reason tendril coils against a suitable support.
