Wind is the flow of gases on a large scale. On the surface of earth ,wind consists of the bulk movement of air. In outer space solar wind is the movement of gases or charged particles from the sun through space

wind is caused by differences in the atmospheric pressure .when a difference in atmospheric pressure exists ,air moves from the higher to lower pressure area resulting in winds of various speeds. on a rotating planets,air will also be deflected by the coriolis effects except exactly on the equator .
