Hansraj`s foray into the film industry happened by chance as he happened to meet actor Mangesh Desai in Aurangabad who advised him to pursue acting.
A trained Bharatnatyam dancer, Hansraj started his professional career in the Marathi film industry with the award-winning film Dhag (2012), a drama directed by Shivaji Lotan Patil. For the role, he beat more than 100 children in the audition and after the release, he won several awards including the National Film Award.
