When we apply pressure on the brittle substances,the substance gets cracked.

• Brittle is a physical characteristics of an object. If a substance is brittle then it means the substance is hard and fragile at the same time.

(Eg. Glass, ceramic etc.)

• Now,when we apply pressure on such brittle substances,the substance gets cracked easily due to it's fragile nature.

• As,a conclusion we can say that a brittle substance has very low amount of rigidity.
