There are few changes that the order of Berlin caused in school that day ;

When Franz entered the school , everything was quiet as a Sunday morning.

The whole school seemed solemn.

M. Hamel was wearing his special dress which he used to wear when there was Prize distribution Day or Inspection day.

The village people came and was sitting on the back benches. (In the respect of M Hamel's 40 years teaching , they wanted to thanks him.)

Everyone was looking upset as now all the schools of Alsace and Lorraine would teach German only and New master will come from next Day.
