Varna system is actually a social based system which is based on Varna caste. There are 4 basic categories in Varna based caste system.  

They are Brahmins, Vaishyas, Kshatriyas, and Shudras. Within this Varna based society, several changes have been made. They are as follows,

• Small type of castes named as Jatis got emerged.

• Jatis has become the base of Varna based society. Many tribes were came under caste based system.

• The carpenters, artisans were given separate status.
