That changes that were brought about in the Indian society in the 19th century are as follows -

• The main source of social reformation  of the Indian society in the 19th century were the British rulers.

• The westen education was established in our society by the British rulers.

• The dark sides of the Indian society were removed by the newly established law system. (Eg. Child marriage, Sati Daha etc.)

• The British technologies started to affect our society but mostly in a positive way. (Telephone,Telegram,Railway etc.)

• The political aspects of our country developed a lot and the concepts of nationalism arrived in our society.
