Robespierre's reign was also known as the reign of terror, but he brought about many changes in the society to bring about equality:-
1. The right to vote was given to all men above 21.
2. He banned white flour ( maida ) and started a bread made from wheat known as equality bread.
3. He banned the terms Monsieur/ Madame and instead told the people to use the term citoyen( citizen )
4. All churches were shut down so that the 1 st estate didn't get enough importance and couldn't exploit the poor.
5. Fixed prices were set on which the peasants crops had to be bought
