What changes were made in the administration of india after the Revolt was suppressed?

1)The East India Company was abolished, and India became a Crown colony. The Governor General became also the Viceroy, the Crown representative princely states that had treaties with the British. Victoria became Empress of India.

2)There were so many administrative changes and policy changes. But the following two vital changes changed the course of the history of the region:

Administrative change: East India Company Rule goes directly into the hands of the British Queen and the British Parliament.

Policy change: Seeds of disguised “Divide and Rule” policy are sown culminating into the formation of Pakistan ninety years later followed by siblings like Kashmir issue and later as Babri Masjid/Ram Janmbhumi issue.
