1) it led to Rapid increase in the demand for food grains.
2) production of grains could not keep pace with the demands.
3) show the price of that which was the staple diet of the majority Rose rapidly
4) most of the workers are employed as labours in workshops Whose owners fix their wages.
5) but the wages did not keep pace with the rise in price.

2 The difference between the rich and poor widened.
