What changes will occur in raisin and RBC when they are placed inside a hypotonic solution and why?

when red blood cells are placed in a hypotonic solution they undergo haemolysis

and they finally burst due to aloy of water intake

First of all you should know that a hypotonic solution is a solution with more solvent than solutes in other wards it's dilute it has more water than salts it's opposite is called the hypertonic solution which has more salts than water

so when raisin and Red blood cells are placed in that dilute ot hypotonic solution they burst due to uptake of alot of water through osmosis

then in a hypertonic solution they undergo cremation where they lose water t the surrounding through osmosis
