Lysosomes have strong digestive enzymes capable of breaking all organic material.when the cell or any organnelle does not function properly or in case of any disturbance in cellmetabolism or the organelles ruptured then lysosomes eat them by secreting digestive enzymes.this is how theyhelp to keep the cell clean. Thus they are called suicidal bags as they eat their own cell...!!!!
