What chemical principle is principle is involved in choosing a reducing agent for getting the metal from its oxide? Consider the metal al2o3 and fe2o3 and justify the choice of reducing agent in each case?

Here the aluminium and iron removes electrons there fore they act as reducing agents by participating in oxidation

And the oxygen takes the electrons and geys reduced and acts as an oxidizing agent

Here both metals loose 3 electrons each
