The black hole is a type of place (you can say) of the spacetime which is exhibiting strong gravitational effects at a very high amount of range so that not even electromagnetic radiation such as light can escape from inside it, it's like that place through which not even a single thing can escape from black hole. In many possible ways, a black hole acts like an ideal black body as because it just reflects no light at all.
The theory of general relativity somewhat predicts that a very sufficiently compact mass can deform spacetime for the forming of a black hole. Furthermore, the quantum field theory in curved spacetime predicts that event horizons emit Hawking radiation, well with the same spectrum as a black body of a temperature which is inversely proportional to its mass.
