Which light will we get when red light incidents at prism?

White light or regular light is made of a multiple band of light wavelengths. Each wavelength shows up as a visible colour as long as it is in the range human eyes can detect ( we can't see infrared or ultraviolet lengths)

Since red light is but one wavelength of light, if you put it through a prism there is no other wavelengths within that red to defract out at a different colour. That's how prism's work. They take the jumble of wavelengths that enter it as white light, and when they hit the bent surface of the prism each wavelength of light bends a slightly different angle so that when the light exits, also at a different angle, the light doesn't recombine into white light .

So, through this we conclude that if we pass red light through prism it will get deflected at a certain angle.

But, there will be no change in colour.

It was red and will be red.

OK
