When CuSO4 reacts with BaCl2 then BaSO4 and CuCl2 are formed.BaSo4 is a white colour precipitate while CuCl2 is greenish blue in colour. It forms barium sulphate and copper chloride.Barium sulphate is relatively insoluble so it will precipate out. Copper chloride is soluble but remains blue.
