I personally feel very bad, if i made the person cry i will reflect upon it and then go and try my best to comfort the person and tell how much i would try to apologise.

If the person is crying out of regret i will try to comfort the person and tell him/her that there's no use in regretting over the things of the past and that u can only correct ur mistakes from the past and repeat them in the future.
