After Mrs. Packletide had fired the shot, Miss Mebbin drew her attention to the goat that was in its death-throes, much to the chagrin of Mrs. Packletide. A mortal bullet had hit the goat. There was no trace of the rifle's deadly work on the tiger. Evidently the wrong animal had been shot down. The tiger, it appeared, had died of heart failure caused by the sudden report of the rifle. The remark by Louisa Mebbin annoyed Mrs. Packletide.

After the firing of bullet,Miss Mebbin saw that Mrs.Packletide had shoot a goat not the tiger, the tiger had died because of heart-attack.Miss Mebbin told Mrs.Packletide that 'The bullet had shot the goat not the tiger. The tiger had succumbed to heart failure caused by the sound of firing accelerated by senile decay."She made this comment because she was so greedy and wanted to take advantage of this.Mrs.Packletide was annoyed with her discovery :)
