what comment does the other man made on the handcuffs
Answers
if this is from hearts and hands, when both the men leave to go for a smoke..2 passerbys have heard the entire conversation. one of them says the marshall is a good fellow, the other one still not aware of the truth says yes but he's too young to hold a position like that. the first man realises that his friend has not been able to catch on and breaks it to him that a marshall always cuffs a prisoner's right hand and the glum faced man pretending to be the prisoner was actually the marshall- saving mr. easton from embaressment
At the end, two passengers who sat nearby them and was hearing their conversation, one said that."marshall is a good sort of chap" as he knows that the glum faced man is the Marshall. The other man said "the Marshall is too young to hold office" here he thinks that Easton is the Marshall. Then the first man said "young., did you ever knew officer to handcuff a prisoner to his right hand" which revealed that the prisoner is the young man Easton and the glum faced man is the Marshall.
