Communalism means that people of the same religion have common cultural, economic , political and social interests.

It become a problem as follows:

1)The common form of communalism practised on everyday customarily beliefs[prejudice , religion , etc] . These are so common that we often fail to detect them even when we are practising them.

2) It takes the form of majoritarian dominance.

3)It can become a problem when ministers use these for their own interests.

4)It often takes the form of communal violence, riots and massacre in our country.
