plaster of Paris is a solid form of gypsum. it is prepared when gypsum is mixed with water.
it becomes hard when it is mixed with water and allowed to stand for sometimes. the uses for this are as follows:
1) it used in hospitals in joining fractured bone
2) it is also used in making toys
3) it used making ceilings etc
