Everything dissolves in water - it is only the degree of solubility that differs.

However, I’m being a smartass, even though it’s true.

Here are some things that are MOSTLY insoluble in water:

sodium sulfate

hexane

heptane

octane

nonane

butane

toluene

carbon tetrachloride

methylene chloride

diethyl ether

dibutyl ether

dipropyl ether

di(isopropyl) ether

olive oil used in your salad dressing
