what concession does kyoto protocol give to developing countries?why?

The Kyoto Protocol has not as yet set any emission standard for developing countries as the developed countries have a lead of over 150 years in industrialisation, which is the main cause for global warming. This concession has been given to remove the economic advantage the developed countries enjoy by their early start in the setting up of industries.
